DIY Citrus Sugar Scrub- Smells and feels AMAZING

Homemade Summer Citrus Sugar Scrub

Want glowing skin for summer? Want your tan to last?  Want to smell amazing?

Try this Homemade Summer Citrus Sugar Scrub!!!

One of my favorite things about summertime is getting a tan. The problem is, it doesn’t last very long. My skin peels and flakes and within about a week or so I’m back to my dull white skin. One way to get your tan to last longer and leave your skin glowing is to exfoliate before you hit the pool. This homemade Citrus Sugar Scrub is the perfect way to get your skin summer ready and smelling amazing!

Ingredients

Citrus Fruit (Lime, Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit)

Sugar

Coconut Oil

Olive Oil

I like to put a little bit of the sugar in a food processor with the peels of the fruit to release the essential oils into the scrub. Leave some of the sugar out so you have a little extra exfoliation with the large granules. Melt down a little coconut oil and mix into the sugar until it looks crumbly. Add a couple splashes of olive, mix and and store in a sealed container.

Tips:

Always exfoliate before you shave. Exfoliating before you shave, will help you achieve a closer shave and keep your razor from getting all clogged up with dead skin cells. Exfoliating after shaving can irritate the skin.

Sugar is a good alternative to salt in a scrub because salt can dry out your skin.

Exfoliating too often can cause irritation. Once per week is perfect!

Always moisturize the skin after exfoliating! Coconut oil is a great moisturizer or you can use a heavy cream moisturizer.

This scrub works great on feet!

Perfect as a homemade gift for friends and neighbors!
